The Avanti Difference

Avanti has a proven approach to school development and improvement, with excellent student outcomes across our schools for example our school outcomes are amongst the top 10% in the country at Key Stage 2 and 4. The 2021 cohort of Upper Sixth Form students have recorded truly astonishing exam results opening the doors to some of the best universities in the country and have excelled well beyond the achievements of the national average.

Avanti exists to help each person become a well-rounded human being through intellectual, moral and spiritual growth, and so make the world a better place. Avanti Schools support each person’s life journey along three parallel paths: Educational excellence; Character formation; and Spiritual insight.

Our schools respect the diversity of students, empowering them to take part in learning and fulfil their potential. We’re on a mission to ensure different student’s learning requirements are met, regardless of their background, learning style or ability. In practice this means removing any barriers that prevent students from learning. We know that having a supportive environment motivates students to perform better, improve and grow.

Our vision for character formation is one where virtues are taught by example and a supportive community of learners fosters a powerful sense of individual and collective purpose. Learning develops for these conscious changemakers as a quest for making the world a better place, starting with oneself. The capacity to internalise and put into practice what we have learned is the true test of learning. Building this capacity demands an experiential, virtues-led curriculum that embraces collaboration, custodianship and global perspectives.

Avanti’s unique ethos places a key emphasis on each individual’s wellbeing. We are always looking for ways to support our community’s wellbeing. Students have regular yoga and mindfulness sessions, teachers regular wisdom sessions and for parents we organise an event called ‘Avanti Nights.’

Students are encouraged to lead on social-action projects, from developing environmental initiatives to local community projects, these efforts are owned and shaped by young people’s needs, ideas and decision making. Teachers are able to see the increase in confidence and citizenship that students gain from the responsibility of working in teams for a higher purpose. In previous years pupils have run campaigns, fundraising for local charities, developed sensory, sustainable gardens and supported their local community.

For Schools

Our schools are centred around a holistic and challenging curriculum that is based on our triple-pathway; educational excellence, character formation and spiritual insight.

For Parents

As the first educators of their children, Parents and families play a crucial role in their children’s educational journey. Our schools work to ensure their committed engagement as co-educators.

For Staff

Avanti teachers are supported by strong CPD programmes, a powerful network of educators across the UK and clean, inspiring learning environments that support mindful engagement with learning.

The best thing about Avanti is that my kids absolutely love going to school. The teachers make sure that every child feels important. Throughout the years I’ve noticed a big change in my boys, they have definitely gained a lot of confidence and made lots of friends. They want to learn and are encouraged to explore the areas they find the most fascinating.

Sylvia, Avanti Court School Parent

At my previous school I struggled with Academics when I was younger, just because I had trouble remembering things. I struggled making friends as I was being bullied. However since coming to Avanti I have not experienced any of that. I have met such an amazing group of people, they were so supportive, and no matter where I was from we all bonded over different things, and learnt about each other’s backgrounds and heritage.

Student, Avanti Secondary

I’m so happy I moved to this school, it was one of the best decisions made and I’m happier than I’ve ever been.

Student, Avanti Secondary

I wanted to be in a school that was more holistic, that was a family, and that’s exactly what the Avanti school has given to me. I now have an extended family, more insight into other faiths and I just feel so connected.
