Welcome from the Principal, Phil Arnold
On behalf of myself and Avanti Schools Trust, it is a pleasure to welcome you to our school website.
Choosing how your child will be educated is one of the most important decisions that you will make as a parent. At Avanti Hall School we celebrate each pupil’s individuality and deliver an educational journey from the age of 4 to 16 that promotes your child’s development, both academically and pastorally, to ensure confidence and ambition. Our philosophy is that education should provide each and every pupil with the core skills needed to achieve academic excellence through a diverse and rich programme of study that has holistic development at its core.
Update on the future of Avanti Hall School
Avanti Hall School has gone through a significant period of improvement since it was taken on by the Avanti Schools Trust (AST) in 2019. The school has made huge progress over the last few years. The tireless efforts of the academic and support staff have helped to create a school which has a strong sense of community and offers an inspirational curriculum to every student.
However, low pupil numbers at the school have had an impact on AST’s ability to ensure the future of the school. The Avanti Schools Trust has therefore taken the decision to seek the transfer of the school to another academy trust, which will be better placed to make further improvements to the school and help it grow in the long term.
We are very pleased to announce that we are working with Reach South Academy Trust with the aim of the Reach South Academy Trust taking on the school later in the year. Reach South has experience in taking on undersubscribed schools and helping them to grow. They operate several schools nearby, and the Trust’s local knowledge and expertise will help to drive further improvements.
The transfer of the school will guarantee its long-term future, and ensure its viability. The board of trustees of Reach South has decided in-principle to take the school on. They will now begin a period of due diligence. A proposal will go to the South-West Advisory Board before Christmas to make a substantive decision to transfer the school.
