to start as soon as possible
The school opened in September 2012 – the first Steiner Free School in England. We are now in our eighth year as a school, alongside the park, perched above the town.
Frome itself is situated in a very attractive and interesting pocket of the southwest, on the edge of the Mendips, just 12 miles south of Bath and 15 miles east from Wells and Glastonbury and slightly further to Bristol.
This year, we have just over 420 pupils on the school’s roll, from Kindergarten to Class 10.
After being placed in Special Measures in December 2018, the Executive Principal and Trustees have developed a plan for improving the school, with access to a wide range of support and expertise.
We seek an enthusiastic, energetic and talented colleague to join us on the road and take up the task of Class Teacher for Class 4 (Yr 5).
The successful applicants will be competent and adaptable people, suitably qualified and ready to join a strong team of able, gifted and resilient colleagues. We will accept applications from qualified Steiner Waldorf teachers, teachers with QTS or both. At present we are unable to provide an NQT program to support teachers in gaining QTS.
The full time starting salary is in the range of £26k to £28k depending on experience, with access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.
If you would like to have a visit or talk about the post, please ring the Principal on 01373 832804. A job description, person specification are here and application form are available from [email protected]
The closing date for application forms is Friday, 4th October, 2019.
