Do you like being outdoors? We do! We are setting up a group of outdoor nurseries that will allow children of 2-5 year olds to grow up in the wonder of nature.

We are looking to recruit a Activity Trailblazer – Outdoor Nursery Practitioner to join our thriving team. This is the perfect job for someone who loves working with children and loves the outdoors!

This vacancy is a full-time position. We offer shift work between the hours of 8:00am – 6:00pm.

The Role

What is an Activity Trailblazer?

Someone who can make an exciting scavenger hunt with sticks, leaves and trees. Someone who can make a climbing fence out of ropes. Someone who can lead children on an adventure walk through the woods!

Someone who would relish this challenge. If I gave you 20 sticks, 3 ropes and a tree. What could you come up with?

You’ll be part of a qualified team of forest education enthusiasts creating adventures and memories for the children. Your natural passion for the outdoors and facilitating child-led learning and experience will help you to follow children’s insights in nature’s playground.

You’ll see the children every day, learn outdoor skills, become resilient, develop social & environmental awareness, grow in their confidence and navigate their way to learning boundaries and risk-taking.

You will be supported by Nursery leaders and your role is to inspire, develop the children by spending a large part of your time creating and discovering ‘life’s stories’ in the forest.

You will be supported by a high-class back office team, a nursery manager and be provided with exceptional CPD (specially related to your role and forest school training), mentoring and networking opportunities to enhance and develop your skills.

Salary: circa. £18,000 (dependant on qualifications and experience)

Due to the nature of this role, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken.
