Little Avanti – Earth Explorer – Outdoor Early Years Practitioner
Do you like being outdoors? We do! We are setting up a group of outdoor nurseries that will allow children of 2-5 year olds to grow up in the wonder of nature.
We are looking to recruit a Earth Explorer – Outdoor Nursery Practitioner to join our thriving team. This is the perfect job for someone who loves working with children and loves the outdoors!
This vacancy is a full-time position. We offer shift work between the hours of 8:00am – 6:00pm.

What is an Earth Explorer?
Can you walk through a field and name all the plants? Can you tell me a herbal remedy for a common cold? Can you watch a cocoon transform into a butterfly? Can you spend the day looking after the animals?
Then you are an Earth Explorer!
Help children love the outdoors and all that nature has to offer. From showing them how to recognise and use different plants to helping them explore life’s stories.
You’ll be part of a qualified team of forest education enthusiasts creating adventures and memories for the children. Your natural passion for the outdoors and facilitating child-led learning and experience will help you to follow children’s insights in nature’s playground.
You’ll see the children every day, learn outdoor skills, become resilient, develop social & environmental awareness, grow in their confidence and navigate their way to learning boundaries and risk-taking.
You will be supported by Nursery leaders and your role is to inspire, develop the children by spending a large part of your time creating and discovering ‘life’s stories’ in the forest.
You will be supported by a high-class back office team, a nursery manager and be provided with exceptional CPD (specially related to your role and forest school training), mentoring and networking opportunities to enhance and develop your skills.
Salary: circa. £18,000 (dependant on qualifications and experience)

Due to the nature of this role, it will be necessary for the appropriate level of criminal record disclosure to be undertaken.
