To help us on our journey we are looking for a Regional Estates Manager to join our team.

Avanti Services Limited supports the Avanti Schools Trust which is a fast-growing Multi Academy Trust currently running schools based in London, the midlands and in the South West of England. All Avanti schools provide pupils with an outstanding education rooted in the inclusive and distinctive Avanti Schools ethos of educational excellence, character development and spiritual insight. This role will be based in the Trust Head Office with regular nationwide travel and will be supporting the Head of Business Services.

As our Trust Estates Manager, you will:

  • Act as the regional estates lead reporting to the Head of Business Services on all Estates and H&S issues, developing, maintaining and implementing policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and providing appropriate advice across the hub to ensure operational safety.
  • Provide the execution of the Estates and Premises strategy, business planning, operational continuity, capital programmes, and asset management for the Trust.
  • Ensure that the delivery of the Estates and Premises strategy supports the Trust business operating model, is scalable and effectively supports growth / expansion plans, ensuring that we are leveraging the economies of scale to enable even greater investment in children’s education.
  • Help in identifying and shortlisting the capital spending requirements via the acquisition and successful application of all capital grants that are available to the Trust
  • Ensure that the day-to-day execution of site upkeep and grounds maintenance is undertaken to exacting safeguarding standards, to the satisfaction of key stakeholders, and that budgetary and governance compliance is adhered to.

  • Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security and confidentiality, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
  • Contribute to the overall ethos/work/aims of the school and Trust
  • Appreciate and support the role of other professionals
  • Attend relevant meetings as required
  • Participate in training and other learning activities and performance development as required

What are we looking for?

  • HND/Degree in relevant discipline or appropriate experience at senior level. Several years experience working in a relevant discipline i.e. Senior Facilities role / facilities management experience in a school or similar environment eg, multi-site, multi-regional
  • IOSH/NEBOSH qualification or the ability to attain, and extensive working knowledge of premises Health & Safety.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Full clean driving licence
  • NVQ 4 OR equivalent qualification desirable
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
