Supplementary Information Form (“SIF”)
If you wish to apply under the faith criteria of the admissions policy, parents must submit a completed supplementary information form (“SIF”) to the school office by the deadline date in addition to submitting a completed online application form to the Council. Please submit a Supplementary Information Form (SIF) within one week of submitting your child’s application to Harrow Council
The SIF form must be certified by the practicing Hindu parent’s temple. Failure to do so will result in the child being placed into the next category that applies according to the admissions policy.
Please click on the links below to download and print the correct SIF form:
Important Note (only applies to statutory age pupils admissions):
If more applications are received under any one criterion than there are places available, the tiebreaker of distance measured in a straight line from home to school will be applied, with the nearest applicant to the school being given the highest priority.
Once the school has completed the ranking of applications, Harrow Council coordinates all the offers for statutory-age pupils to make sure that each applicant receives only one offer (for Nursery Pupils the school will coordinate the offers) They do this by looking at the way you ranked schools, as follows:
- If your child meets the rules for only one of the schools on your list, they will only inform you of an offer to that school.
- If your child meets the rules for more than one of the schools you have asked for, they will look at the rankings you gave the schools and will only inform you of the offer from your highest-ranked school. Therefore, if Krishna Avanti Primary School were able to offer you a place, but a higher ranked school was also able to offer a place, you would only be informed of the offer for the higher ranked school and the place at Krishna Avanti Primary School would be offered to another child. Being offered a higher-ranked school does not constitute as an error in the admissions process.
A full explanation of admission arrangements is available to view on the Harrow Council website at www.harrow.gov.uk/schooladmissions. Please refer to the Harrow Council “Guide to Primary Schools in Harrow” for further information.

Admissions Waiting List Frequently Asked Questions
Please see the Harrow Council FAQ’s regarding admissions waiting list queries – Harrow Council School Waiting list FAQs
Why is the position showing as 0?
The schools are responsible for their own waiting list. To find out your child’s position for faith schools, please contact the schools directly.
Why has my child’s position on the waiting list changed?
A child’s position on the waiting list is not static. They can move up the waiting list if a place is offered to the child at the top of the waiting list causing all other children to move up the list or if a child with a higher priority is removed from the waiting list.
However, it is also possible to move down the waiting list if another family with a higher priority under the admission arrangements asks for their child to go on the waiting list.
How long will it take for a space to become available for my child?
We are unable to advise how long it may take for a school place to become available for your child, as this is dependent on the movements of children within the school. If a place becomes available for your child we will send a letter to advise you.
Do I need to renew my child’s waiting list?
Your child will remain on the waiting list for the remainder of the academic year. Harrow Council will then contact you at the end of the summer term to confirm if you would like this to continue to remain over the following academic year in which you will be advised to complete the application again.
How will I know if there is a space for my child in my preferred school?
If a school place becomes available from the waiting list for your child an offer letter will be sent from Harrow Council to advise you.
How is my child’s waiting list position worked out?
Your child’s waiting list position is determined by the published admissions oversubscription criteria (KAPSH Admissions Policy) which can be found on the school website.
Please be aware that admissions criteria for faith Schools can be different from other schools.
Allocation Statistics for September 2024
The Admissions Authority of the School co-ordinate places to applicants in the following way:
(a) If the number applying for our school is less than (or equal to) the planned admissions number, all will be offered a place;
(b) If the number applying is greater than the planned admissions number, places will be allocated by giving priority to children according to our admissions criteria published in our policy (in the order below), up to the planned admissions number.
The Planned Admission Numbers (PAN) for Krishna Avanti School are; Reception Class – 60 places; Nursery – 26 places.
Once it has been determined which children can be offered places at Krishna Avanti School, the Harrow Admissions team will coordinate all Reception Class offers to make sure that each applicant receives only one offer and the school coordinates Nursery offers.
If more applications are received under any one criterion than are available, the tie-breaker of distance measured in a straight line from home to school will be applied. The nearest applicant to the school will be given the highest priority.
