The weather has certainly become warmer as we now enter the last four weeks of the academic year. There will be lots happening with Year 6 planning for their production, fun sports days for all, and those in Key Stage Two, the competitive sports evening.

Restorative Practice – Building Relationships, Improving Behaviour and Creating Stronger Communities

We continue to read Mark Finnis’s book on restorative practice as a staff and developing a restorative mindset. Whether it be for the children as they come into school, or for our visitors or colleagues, the aim is to always smile and create a positive vibe which will result in positive experiences. The way we greet each other and the tone of our voice is very important and I thank you all for displaying these positive behaviours as we work together for the good of all of your children. I hope even as adults we work hard to communicate positively with each other and set that great example for our young people.

Calendar Dates

I would like to thank you all for your continued understanding and appreciation that events cannot run as we would usually wish. Sports days will however be going ahead and we will be asking you to ensure you maintain a distance between the children and other parents – more to follow.

It is a great shame that we’ve been unable to arrange a residential visit for our children but there are a couple of visits currently been planned so that there are some great experiences to finish the year with. For those in year five and below, we are very confident there will be a great menu of activities for the next academic year.  Please check for currently confirmed dates on the website calendar by clicking here.

Parking

The new barrier system appears to be working quite well and I would like to thank you very much for your patience with this and finding somewhere to park outside of the school grounds.

Thank you very much for your continued support. If you like your football, enjoy the Euros – come on England!
