Transport for London have confirmed that they are making some changes to schooldays only bus routes 618 and 619. These routes run between Mill Hill or Edgware and Eastcote, Eastern Avenue, for the temporary site of Avanti House School.
Route 618
Route 618 runs from Mill Hill via Burnt Oak, Queensbury, Wealdstone and Harrow town centre to the school.
From 11 September 2017 both morning journeys will be retimed slightly, and both afternoon journeys will be retimed slightly on Tuesdays to Fridays. Both afternoon journeys will also be retimed significantly on Mondays due to a change in school finish time.
In the morning, buses will depart Mill Hill Broadway station at 06:40 and 06:50 (no change) but will pick up from other stops along the route up to four minutes earlier, arriving at Eastern Avenue at 07:42 and 07:52 (previously 07:46 and 07:56).
In the afternoon, buses will depart Eastern Avenue at 15:40 and 15:46 on Tuesdays to Fridays (no change), and 14:40 and 14:46 on Mondays. They will serve other stops along the route up to three minutes earlier or later on Tuesdays to Fridays, and about one hour earlier on Mondays. They will arrive at Mill Hill Broadway station at 16:47 and 16:53 on Tuesdays to Fridays and 15:47 and 15:53 on Mondays (previously 16:44 and 16:50 on all days).
Route 619
Route 619 runs from Edgware via Burnt Oak, Kingsbury, Kenton and Harrow town centre to the school.
From 4 September 2017 we have introduced an additional journey in both directions. This is to allow for additional students attending the school. Also the existing journeys in both directions have been retimed slightly.
From 11 September 2017 both afternoon journeys on Mondays will be retimed significantly. This is due to a change in school finish time.
In the morning, the additional journey departs Edgware bus station at 06:50 and arrives at Eastern Avenue at 07:48. The existing journey continues to depart Edgware bus station at 06:45 but picks up from other stops along the route up to five minutes earlier, arriving at Eastern Avenue at 07:43 (previously 07:48).
In the afternoon, the additional journey departs Eastern Avenue at 15:48 on Tuesdays to Fridays and 14:48 on Mondays, and arrives at Edgware bus station at 16:55 on Tuesdays to Fridays and 15:55 on Mondays. The existing journey continues to depart Eastern Avenue at 15:43 on Tuesdays to Fridays and will depart at 14:43 on Mondays. It serves other stops along the route up to one minute later or up to five minutes earlier on Tuesdays to Fridays and about one hour earlier on Mondays, arriving at Edgware bus station at 16:50 on Tuesdays to Fridays and 15:50 on Mondays (previously 16:53 on all days).
New timetables will be posted at the bus stops shortly.
