Dear Parents and Carers
As promised, we want to give you a further update on developments since we broke up. We are continuing to work closely with police in their investigation, with regards to events on the 29th of March, to determine whether or not an alleged event occurred as there have been conflicting accounts.
Police have carried out their investigations and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.
The investigation on site has therefore ceased. Feedback from both police and Harrow’s children’s services have praised and supported the response from the school, which has been described as proportionate and appropriate.
We would like to reiterate that there was never any allegation or search for drugs, weapons or any other prohibited items.
The school’s response must always be with children’s wellbeing as highest priority, and so, whatever the outcome of the investigation might be, the school’s response will always be appropriate and proportionate to an allegation.
Once again, we would like to thank all our students, parents and staff for their patience and support during this difficult time.
Yours sincerely
