Imagine a city where people of all ages, of different ethnicities and cultures do not simply observe each other from afar, but interact, supporting each other when life is hard, and celebrating together when life is good.

On Monday 3rd March, Year 10 students from Avanti Fields Secondary School were invited to join city and culture leaders at Leicester Cathedral.

As representatives of a faith school, the students shared their views, hopes and aspirations for their city.

Organised by the St Philips Centre and Leicester Cathedral, the event was attended by key people from the city’s sporting clubs, religious institutions, and city leaders. The students were then invited to discuss their thoughts on what can be done to develop Leicester as an intercultural city for a brighter future for all young people.
