New Transition Arrangements 2020/2021
We are really looking forward to welcoming our new Year 7 students to Avanti Fields School as soon as we are able to do so. At this current time, we appreciate there may be some additional concerns and questions about joining us. We are also aware that unfortunately, many of the usual transition activities including onsite transition activities, meeting form tutors and teachers, parents evening and much more cannot happen in the usual way.
However, we will endeavour to adapt and offer as much information and activities as we can by post, email and through online communication platforms, in order to make the transition to secondary school as smooth and enjoyable as possible. To support you further, please navigate this ‘Transition’ section of our website to find the latest guidance and information. We would recommend that you check regularly for updates in our provision and we will contact you directly with any new information as we receive it.
The links in this ‘Transition’ section of our website are aimed at both students and their families. For students there are a series of booklet activities to complete to help them get to know the school and their teachers a little better. The ‘Key information for parents’ link will direct you to information on the school day and structure, behaviour, uniform, lunches, bus information and key contacts. All new information will be uploaded as soon as it is published.
As a school, we will aim do everything we can to make the transition to Avanti Fields School as seamless as possible and we are excited to meet everyone as soon as we are able to.
