On Wednesday 2nd October 2019, we presented an assembly on Yom Kippur to our parents. It was an excellent experience having Ms Sassoon guide us through the learning, being a practitioner of Judaism. We learnt about the Day of Atonement, where God gives us the chance to make amends for the mistakes that we have previously made; reflecting on our actions and repent for any misdoings the previous year.  Many similarities were found between the Jewish faith and our Hindu faith. Currently, Hindu’s celebrate Kartik where we offer candles to Lord Damodar everyday for a month and during this time we reflect on our actions and make changes because the Lord is very merciful and allows us to increase the benefits of our spiritual actions x10.
