At Avanti House Primary School, Year Four have been given a chance to do an African drumming workshop experience. During the workshop, Year Four got to learn how to play the drums. One thing that we learned is changing the tone; we used our index finger and tapped it on the edge of the drum. We also learned to make a noise that sounded like raindrops falling from the sky and we made similar sounds by scratching the top of the drum instead. I love African drumming.

Fact: On an African drum, the part you play is goat skin!
