Our School Races Ahead in the TCS London Mini Marathon 2025

Krishna Avanti Primary School (Harrow) is proud to announce that the school took part in the TCS London Mini Marathon 2025, an exciting event that brought together thousands of young runners from across the UK to celebrate fitness, community, and determination.

Held on Saturday 26th April, the TCS Mini Marathon saw children from Years 3 to 6 representing our school in one of the country’s most inspiring youth sporting events. The race route, set in the heart of London, covered the iconic final mile of the full marathon course, finishing near Buckingham Palace. This unforgettable setting gave our children a taste of the energy and thrill that comes with participating in a major sporting event.

The Mini Marathon is more than just a race — it is a celebration of personal achievement, teamwork and health. As a school, we are incredibly proud of every child who took part as each participant crossed the finish line with pride.  Following this event, the whole school participated in the TCS London Mini Marathon in school Each child from Nursery – Year 6, ran their own mini marathon on the school’s astroturf. Staff also joined in the fun, with teachers running alongside their classes. The astroturf was filled with encouragement and a true spirit of community.

We hope this event inspires more children to stay active, set goals, and believe in their ability to overcome challenges. We look forward to making this an annual tradition and continuing to show that our school is always ready to rise to a challenge – one step at a time!
