Find out More – The SSC Handbook

A Guide explaining the role, responsibilities, and expectations of the SSC and of individual SSC Members (The Avanti Governance Handbook) is available to view via the link. I hope you will find this helpful and of interest.

The Guide also provides details of the skills and attributes required of an SSC Member. The overriding requirement is a genuine interest and commitment to the wellbeing and educational development of young people. We welcome expressions of interest from all eligible parents/carers and from others in the community.

SSC Members Vacancies

The initial term of office for any SSC Member is three years (renewable).

Vacancies arise from time to time so please check back on the website.

An opportunity to find out more before committing

Everyone completing an EoI will be invited to a brief meeting at the school with myself, the Trust Governance Officer and if available, an existing SSC Member. The arrangements for the meeting will be advised to everyone. The purpose of the meeting is to view the school and to provide the opportunity for those interested to ask questions and learn a little more about the nature of the SSC role and of school/Trust governance.
