After School Clubs Snacks
As part of our commitment to promoting healthy living, we would like to remind you that Krishna Avanti Primary School is a Healthy School. Encouraging children to adopt healthy habits from a young age is an important part of their overall development, and we want to support them in making choices that will benefit their well-being both now and in the future.
We aim to foster a lifestyle that includes balanced nutrition and hydration. This means encouraging children to eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, and drink water regularly. A diet rich in fruits and vegetables can provide essential vitamins and minerals that help improve concentration, boost the immune system, and maintain healthy growth and energy levels throughout the school day. Staying well-hydrated by drinking water also aids in focus and physical well-being.
As such, we ask that you, as parents/guardians, do not send snacks such as chocolates, sweets, cakes, biscuits, cereal bars, crisps, or fruit juice for your child/ren to eat after school. While popular, these items do not provide the long-lasting energy and nutrients children need. Instead, we recommend snacks such as a banana or other fruit/vegetables, giving your child the energy they need to stay active and focused until they get home.
We appreciate your support in helping us promote healthy habits and ensure that all of our children thrive both academically and physically.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
