We are buzzing with excitement and we can’t control it!!!!

“Over a period of 5 days, our pupils embarked on an incredible adventure at PGL. Thrills, teamwork, and unforgettable memories were on the agenda as they conquered high ropes, bonded over campfires, and returned with new skills, friendships, and stories to share. Here are some highlights from this amazing experience!”

An exciting adventure for our Year 5 students! They recently ventured to Go Ape and took on the Treetop Challenge with enthusiasm and determination. Navigating high ropes and thrilling obstacles, the children showcased their courage and resilience in the face of exciting challenges. The highlight of the day? The unanimous vote went to the heart-pounding zip line that provided an adrenaline rush like no other.

As you can see in these pictures, our students conquered their fears with smiles on their faces, proving that bravery knows no bounds. These pictures capture the unforgettable experience, where teamwork, self-confidence, and a spirit of adventure were on full display. Well done to our Year 5 children for embracing this thrilling experience and pushing their limits amongst the treetops!

During our school assemblies, Mrs Bellare has been talking to us about the Avanti principles. We thoughtfully reflected on Principle 1 – ‘We have incredible potential and can achieve this when nurturing all parts of ourselves – intellectual, emotional, physical and spiritual’. We have been writing stories from other cultures. We focused on writing in the third person and included cultural references from the Middle Eastern and Indian cultures. We also spent a lot of time developing our chapters and settings. Have a read of Ariana’s fantastic story.

During our Science unit, we have been investigating properties of materials. In particular, we have been focusing on separating mixtures and solutions. We explored with various resources such as sieves, filter paper and magnets. We also took a salt solution into the Creative Kitchen and watched the process of evaporation happen right in front of us!

We’ve had great fun exploring with new recipes this term. We have made flatbread, mezze bowls (popular middle eastern dishes) and smørrebrød (a Danish open-face sandwich). We have developed our skills of kneading dough and chopping vegetables, as well as tasting new flavours.

At Krishna Avanti School, Gaura Purnima is a cherished celebration that honours the appearance day of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, a significant figure in Hinduism known for his teachings on love, devotion, and the chanting of the holy names. On this auspicious day, students and teachers come together in joyous reverence, adorned in vibrant attire reminiscent of the festival’s spirit. Through colourful presentations, enlightening discourses, and traditional dances, students learn about the life and teachings of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, fostering a deeper understanding of devotion and spirituality. Gaura Purnima at Krishna Avanti School is more than just a celebration; it’s a sacred occasion that nurtures hearts and minds, fostering a sense of unity, harmony, and reverence for the divine.
