Compulsory Uniform – Only applicable to Pupils in Reception – Year 6 Classes

Uniform and achievement have always been a high priority at Krishna Avanti Primary School; we believe the way in which students wear their school uniform reflects the importance which is placed on attention to detail and pride in the school. The smart appearance of our students is regularly commented on by parents of prospective students and visitors to the school.

It is part of our School Uniform Policy that all children wear school uniform. Our uniform is in line with Avanti Schools Trust’s family of schools. The Avanti uniform has been chosen to be practical, and easy to wash. Brigade Limited supplies Uniforms for all the Avanti schools.

Pupils eligible for Pupil Premium Grant or Free School Meals are entitled to Free School Uniform. Please speak to the school office if you think you are eligible or would like to check your eligibility.

All compulsory items bearing the embroidered school logo must be purchased from Brigade Clothing via their online service called PARENTS DIRECT(please click the link to visit the Brigade website).

How to purchase

Brigade Clothing Logo

The full uniform is available to purchase from Brigade Clothing via the website. When you log onto Brigade website www.brigadeuniformdirect.uk.com you will be required to enter our school name (Krishna Avanti) and select the school from the drop-down list provided. There is a postage and packaging charge on orders.  Orders will be sent directly to you.

Please be aware that during the busy season, Brigade requires 14–21 working days to turn orders around. Therefore, it is very important that parents make every effort to select the correct sized garments in the first instance. Parents are advised to order early to avoid any delays in receiving items as we expect students to be in possession of all of the items above at the beginning of term.

To help the ordering process, sizing samples are available at the school office for students to try on jumpers and cardigans. If you would like to check the correct size please come to the school office on Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday between 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.

The school does not take orders for uniforms and does not hold any stock of uniform items.

Labelling Your Child’s Uniform

It is vital that all children are able to locate their own property as it facilitates early reading skills, independence and self-esteem. Please ensure that all your child’s clothing and property including shoes are clearly labelled. Your child’s name should appear in lowercase letters, with the first letter of their name/surname in capitals.

The most appropriate option is to purchase pre-printed iron-on name labels which will last throughout your child’s school years and are easily available online. If you are not purchasing pre-printed labels, then your child’s first name must be clearly handwritten with a black, permanent marker pen onto iron-on name labels.

All items including bags must be clearly labelled. School cannot take responsibility for lost uniforms/property.
