A letter at the end of an official break is not something I have written before until now. As it is the last Friday of the official Easter holiday, school is back on Monday.

I’d like to start by thanking the numerous staff that offered to come in over the Easter break to support the Key Workers, including shop workers, doctors and NHS nurses. An extra special thank you to the eight staff members that were in over their break.

But an even bigger thank you to all of you; whether a Key Worker taking risks to do your job so we can all continue; or those that have stayed at home and followed the guidance to keep everybody safer and less likely to spread the virus –  Thank you!

School Remains Closed (for most)

The current ‘lockdown’ in place is to continue for another three weeks, as announced during yesterday’s daily news conference from 10 Downing Street. This means we continue as we are, setting work remotely via Google Classroom and only having the children with an EHC Plan or the children of Key Workers attending school. A reminder to our Key Workers, if your child can be looked after safely at home by a member of the family, that is what should happen.

For the children with an EHCP or the children of Key Workers that can’t keep children safely at home, please click here to book your child in. A reminder that the Takeaway Food is discounted to £1.00 per meal due to the very generous donation of a parent.

Work on Google Classroom will be posted the night before it is needed. So for Monday, the work will be on Google Classroom on Sunday evening. The same link above can be used to share any issues that you are having with remote learning. We are here to help and are aware that during these extended times without the usual contact we have, are difficult for so many. Please do reach out and let’s make sure we connect however we can, for the good of all.

Stay safe and take care.
