Another week is over at school and it is positive in so many ways. To finish the week celebrating the works of Roald Dahl, with children and staff dressed as characters, is great to see after such a long time with many children being away from school. The smiles are still there and your support and positivity in times that are often changing, is greatly appreciated – thank you.

Google Classroom and Homework

As we work to ensure everybody is as safe as possible, we will use Google Classroom for homework up to half-term (mid-October). Your child may have their home school link book, but activities will be shared via the website / Google Classroom. For simplicity for those new to it all, visit your child’s year group page on the website. The Homework tab will either have the homework set, or a link to Google Classroom. We still want the children to use pen and paper, but online also. We are not expecting the home school link books to be sent into school each week for marking, unless asked for in specific classes by the teacher. Please bear with us whilst we learn what is best for all and adapt accordingly.

Focus on…

The first week’s worth of the Focus on… series is now complete. The next Kahoot quiz for you and children to take part in will go out via Google Classroom on Monday. Please do encourage your child to have a go.

Friday Podcast: Click here to hear our latest podcast,  Episode 14. We are pleased that the children are now producing this on a weekly basis. If you have any ideas for features, let us know.

Thank you as always for your support. Have a great weekend.

Yours sincerely
