The end of the Autumn Term is now here and it has a been very difficult for many. For those children who have had to self-isolate, we are under no illusions as to the difficulties this poses for them. We are also very aware that it is extremely difficult for you as parents too. Thank you all for your patience and I shall keep repeating this; we are here to help as best we can so do reach out if you need to. It would be a great shame if people are struggling and we can’t help. Use the form under the Covid19 tab to let us know of any difficulties and if we can help, we will.

Christmas Carols

It has been very different Christmas at school this year with so much needing to be adapted. I hope the efforts to allow cards to continue, parties in classes and carols on our YouTube channel  have helped keep some Christmas cheer. Please do visit the YouTube channel to enjoy the carols sung by each class. You may notice the new learning taking place with some of the older children learning how to use a green screen!

Parent Questionnaire Updates

Thank you to all that have so far completed the Parent Questionnaire  and the external 360 Reviews.

Updates on feedback and questions…

    • Consideration to improving the grounds of the school i.e. tarmac car parking area, reduced flooding by improved draining: Last week I mentioned the planning for the widening of the path. This work has been booked in and should be completed during the Christmas break.
    • More face to face/video answers to concerns rather than replying by email: Face to face video is possible where required. If issues can be resolved via email, it can save time but if specific, please share and we can discuss.
    • I can see covid 19 plans for pickups are not strictly working out with overlapping of paths for kids and parents waiting area.selecting places of waiting without parents opinions and policing later on for don’t stand here is not respecting parents: Waiting areas did not work as mentioned. We have changed now to a planned keep walking pick-up which is going better. The wider path should also help this. If the feeling is a lack of respect, please forgive this as not intended. We do however have some parents that ignore and disregard distancing and for them, the communication becomes sterner.
    • There should be survey or opinions taken from parents before making decisions: We will and often do seek views but, we will not consult on everything. It is very rare that everybody agrees and we are very use to some disagreeing with a decision whilst others tell us they do agree. We are always here to listen and will continue to be – keep talking to us.
