The weather held good for Krishna Avanti’s visit of King Richard III Infant School in the Year 2 Leicester League. Yogiraj Dixit played out of goal for the match to mix things up a bit but he never looked out of place, finishing off a great bit of play in the 4th minute. A fine team goal with some one-touch passes ended as Dixit stroked the ball into a net from a great ball from out wide.

In goal, Kush Popat was assured, commanding his box and distributing the ball well to push Krishna Avanti on. In the 12th minute, a neat one-two between Keeyan Patel and Dilan Rana put Dixit through to grab his second of the game. Krishna Avanti were certainly on top but going two goals ahead affected their flow as they tried to score more, but not as a team.

At half-time, Dilan Chauhan replaced Popat in goal and Tanish Patel replaced Keeyan in midfield. Rana made it three-nil to the home side in the nineteenth minute, wrapping the game up for the title chasers. Keeyan was reintroduced and Krishna Avanti continued to threaten, but too much complacency restricted the scoreline. Dixit did grab his hat-trick in the 25th minute to finish the game 4-0.

The teams will meet again very soon as the season draws to a close. For Krishna Avanti, five games left in the final three weeks.
