We are at the end of another very busy week, working really hard to get the Diwali performances recorded and managing Covid.

Parent Questionnaire Updates

As we continue our own surveys and efforts to improve the school, we can see four key areas to focus on from our annual Parent Questionnaire.

Thank you to all that have so far completed the new external 360 Reviews. What we have done about your feedback so far includes:

  • A school determination that the telephone will be answered within three rings.
  • Only one general letter each week – this Friday Update.
  • Class specific letters where possible, only one per week.
  • Arbor App messages not used to inform you a letter has been sent.

We will continue to work on the areas and feedback each week.

Chromebook/Device Loans

With the coronavirus forcing us to have isolations, we have improved the form for remote learning help. It is under the Covid19 Update tab on our website and now includes specific fields for loaning a device. If you do need to borrow device, please complete the short form and we can confirm that if it will be ready at your preferred collection time.

Payments

Thank you to everybody that make payments into the Arbor Payment Module. Those that still have an amount outstanding, we will be in touch soon. Collectively, £1133 is owed. For your information, we will send a message to you as follows:

  • Less than £20.00 in credit – a message to alert you as such.
  • Less than £10.00 – a message to alert you as such.
  • Less than £5.00 – a phone call to check messages are received.
  • Zero credit to money owed – specific letters, support and actions.

I hope this will help and avoid difficult conversations.

Club Payments

If your child attends one of Mr Jackson’s clubs, please ensure you have made the £15 payment via the Arbor app by Monday (23rd) at the latest. We will be contacting those that have not from Monday onwards asking you to collect your child at 14:30.

Arbor App

We understand that the Arbor App is causing some people some confusion. If this is the case for you, please do get in touch and we will try to show how it can be used.

PE Kit/Jewellery Reminder

As the cold weather approaches, a reminder for children to have the appropriate PE kit and footwear. Please do not send your child with jewellery to school.

Children in Need

Thank you to everybody that donated to Children in Need. I know many of you will have done so directly. Those that donated through school raised a combined £114. A heartfelt thank you to you all. Watching Children in Need last Friday evening on the television is hard sometimes, seeing and hearing the difficulties that so many children have. Every donation counts and so many of us can’t begin to imagine the struggles.

Social Distancing

Having watched everybody leaving school at the end of the day it is very apparent that a number of people are not social distancing. It’s very important you take responsibility and ensure you leave a good gap between you and the people in front of you (and maybe look behind to suggest to those getting too close, to also leave a gap).

A query had been made as to whether we could open the car gates as people leave. This is not possible you’ll understand, as we would be sending children and yourselves directly onto a road albeit sometimes quiet. If everybody does the above with social distancing, it should work.

School photographs

The photographers were in today and all went smoothly. You should receive your child’s proof photo with details on how to place an order online, directly with Jane Stapletons on Friday 4th December. (This will be handed to your child for them to bring home).

For Sun class who missed the opportunity today due to isolating, any other children that were absent, the photographers will be visiting again on Tuesday 24th November.

Medical Update Form

If you need school to administer any medicines or would like to update us of medical conditions that we should  be aware of please update us by clicking here.

Podcast
