On Thursday 27 June the Girls’ Year 3/4 football team played their first game in a Leicester City event involving several schools.
It was an amazing performance from the Krishna Avanti team. The first game was tight but Divya Chauhan managed to to score early to settle the debutants. It was a super game with the girls quickly understanding positions and roles and a second from Divya gave the team a 2-0 win.
The team earned a comfortable win in the second game, with Priyanshi Patel getting a brave and the third by Divya, her third of the day.
The final game had the team now oozing with confidence, teamwork and enjoyment. Divya scored a hat-trick and Dhanisha scoring her first goal. She was strong and powerful in central midfield in all 3 games and the goal was just reward.
Rhiddi Parmar was solid in goal throughout, not conceding a single goal, partly testament to the defence in front of her.
Well done to the girls who we are proud of – Great performance with a great attitude, just like the England Lionesses with their victory over Norway.
