Dear Parent and Carers

I am very proud to announce the outcomes of the Ofsted Inspection which was carried out on 14th, 22nd and 23rd November 2017. Krishna Avanti Primary School has been judged as a “Good” school with elements of “Outstanding” in the judgement areas.

I am extremely proud of the team. They are a deeply committed and a talented staff team, supported by a dedicated School Stakeholder Committee and the Board of trustees. It is this collaboration underpinned with our strong ethos that has led us to this successful outcome. I am sure you will join me in thanking all those involved for their pursuit for excellence.

I would particularly like to thank all the children for their hard work in reaching this milestone; their impeccable behaviour and obvious love of learning shone through during the inspection. During my 26 years of teaching, I have experienced numerous Ofsted Inspections and each time, the national inspection framework has changed and become increasingly demanding. In fact, the current Inspection Framework of what is deemed Good has changed over four times since the schools last inspection in June 2013. In the current framework, Good schools that are on the cusp of outstanding are invited to convert the one – day inspection to a further two days inspection, with a new inspection team; totalling of three days. We decided at Krishna Avanti to pursue this option.

During the inspection process, I was delighted to be able to showcase our school. When you read the report, you can see that the text describes the wonderful school we are. The report recognises and summarises the huge strengths and uniqueness of our school.

I was involved in the discussions held by the Ofsted inspectors, which are not written in the summary report but provided as evidence to Ofsted, I am absolutely bursting with pride by the statements shared by the inspectorate team.

Thank you, families for your continued support. Your depth and breadth of engagement has helped to strengthen our children’s learning, resulting in high expectations and high outcomes.
It is a great honour and privilege to serve you. Onward and Upward!

Hare Krishna
